Connecting Your Wallet
Link your Ethereum wallet to Viewert to unlock NFT avatar features. The process is secure, private, and takes under a minute.
What You Need
Before you begin, make sure you have a browser wallet extension installed. MetaMask is the most popular option, but any wallet that supports Ethereum and the EIP-191 signing standard will work.
MetaMask
The most widely used browser wallet. Available as a Chrome, Firefox, and Brave extension.
Coinbase Wallet
A user-friendly wallet from Coinbase with built-in browser extension support.
Rainbow
A beautifully designed Ethereum wallet with browser extension.
How to Connect
Connecting your wallet to Viewert uses a secure challenge-response flow called SIWE (Sign-In with Ethereum). Your private keys never leave your wallet.
Open Settings
Navigate to your Settings page and scroll to the NFT Avatar section.
Click "Connect Wallet"
Your browser wallet extension will open and ask you to select an account.
Sign the Message
Viewert sends a unique challenge message. Review it in your wallet and click "Sign". This proves you own the address without sharing your private key.
Done
Your wallet is now linked. You can browse your NFTs and set one as your avatar.
Security & Privacy
Managing Wallets
You can unlink your wallet at any time from the Settings page. If you unlink a wallet that is currently used for your NFT avatar, your profile picture will revert to your standard avatar. You can link a different wallet afterward.
